Off-roading is absolutely dangerous, however we still choose to engage in the activity and the reason for this is evident! It gives an incredible rush! In addition, Off-roading can be a true gauge of ones true driving abilities. I personally love to get my Jeep on the trail and push it to the limits at Rausch Creek in Pennsylvania.
In pushing our 4×4 vehicles to the limit we can sometimes go a little too far or become overconfident. That water crossing or mud pit might look passable but sometimes we find ourselves literally stuck up a creek without a paddle. Hopefully you are off-roading with a friend so you have someone to help you out of the mud, but sometimes you will need more help. Being in remote places it’s always good to have backup power so you can make a call with a cellphone, satellite phone, or radio.
To that end, we have designed the RokPak. In a nutshell, the RokPak is an innovative waterproof and drop proof drybox that not only is able to store your personal items, but can also prove to be a source of power for your devices.
Features ideal for Off-roading situations:
• LCD gives you an idea of how much power you have and which USB ports are in use
• The RokPak is designed to protect against external shocks such as those which may be incurred crawling through a boulder field
• There is a built in solar panel, which could seriously come in handy when you are stranded and need just enough charge to make that call for help
• There is also a 4 function LED flashlight which features a low and high intensity display, one that pulsates as well as the SOS feature so you can make sure your rig is in one piece before you venture back on to the pavement
Another special feature is that the RokPak is also designed with a buckle strap, which allows you to secure the RokPak to your vehicle so when you are bouncing off the rocks it’s not flying around and damaging your interior. Alternatively, the carabineer can also be used to clip it somewhere safe. The best part about the RokPak too, is that the RokPak can be charged with a car charger so if you forget to charge it before your next off-road adventure you can plug in on the way there. Just make sure to secure it if you’re heading to the trail with the doors off. I have learned this lesson the hard way.
Moreover, its charging capabilities mean that a dead phone battery will not prevent you from contacting emergency services or someone who may be able to assist you should you incur physical injuries that render you incapable of walking or seeing. Rather the RokPak allows you to charge more than one device at a time, thus staying in touch is feasible no matter where you are on the trail. It is quite reassuring to know that when engaging in this extreme activity RokPak can help through several means.
If you want to get footage of your off-roading adventure, all you have to do is charge your camera or GoPro with the RokPak so you never miss a moment. Indeed, the RokPak is an excellent investment! We put forward that all off-roading plans should begin with making sure that you and everyone else in your posse have a RokPak in his or her off-roading kit.
